About Junior Jacks

About the Program

Developing young athletes during the spring and summer off-season.

Overview

An off-season built for growth

The Junior Jacks Hockey program is dedicated to providing young athletes with the opportunity to enhance their hockey skills during the spring/summer offseason. Our current program offers an excellent mixture of 12 on-ice practices with a talented coaching staff leading the way along with several off-ice sessions and 2 weekend tournaments.

What’s Included

The Junior Jacks program

On-Ice Practices

The on-ice sessions are strategically designed by our coaching staff to help athletes advance in all aspects of their game. The vision is based on abilities, so we focus on everything from the often overlooked basics such as edgework, transitions and evasive stick handling to more complex set plays and team-oriented breakouts. These practices will undoubtedly help you become a better overall hockey player, as well as hone your skills and perhaps add that one key piece that might have been missing previously.

Off-Ice Sessions

The off-ice sessions are designed to make sure our athletes stay loose and limber while strengthening both their core and lower body. The value of these sessions is equal to learning on-ice, as they help the skater make longer, stronger strides which boosts their abilities on skates. Every hockey player wants to be a stronger skater, and it begins with the strength we build up before lacing up the skates.

Weekend Tournaments

Two weekend tournaments give players the chance to put their off-season work to the test against other teams and compete together as a unit.
